A major upgrade to Oatley Station (Sydney) by Transport NSW included new lift and stair access to Oatley Parade, Mulga Road and the station platforms, new station forecourts on Oatley Parade and Mulga Road, a new pedestrian footbridge.

What better way to fill in a few hours than to walk around Melbourne's CBD - to capture the grand old buildings, the arcades, the grafitti.

Newer buildings such as the Arts Centre, Federation Square and recent high rise developments along the Yarra river, Southbank, Southern Cross station, Spencer Street and elsewhere.

I had a recent trip to Melbourne and filled in a few hours with a stroll to the Victorian Arts Centre. I was mainly interested to see how the spire was looking.

The design of the spire kept me off the streets so to speak in the period 1972 - 79.

I worked with John Connell and Associates (Engineers) and Sir Roy Grounds (Architect) on the design of this project.
